The President Hotel is ranging 3* and offers an excellent location close to the American University and a very popular cellar bar for both locals and foreigners working in Egypt. For a cozy atmosphere and a lovely view go for the tiny 3* Longchamps Hotel set on the elegant Zamalek island. For a collection of basic rooms on a rooftop in the Downtown area, book Dahab Hotel. Looking for a cheap location and perfect cleaning? Then definitely Luna is your spot - one of the best hostels in Cairo, offering both noisy and very quiet rooms in downtown.
The four star range of accommodation is also generous and diversified in Cairo. Close to the Airport and the Conference Centre you have Baron Hotel, an excellent choice if you come with a group or to attend a conference event in Cairo. In Gezira Island, close to the local Sport Clubs, the charming Golden Tulip Flamenco is welcoming you with a very personal service. A good deal is the Siag Pyramids Hotel, offering a close view over the breathtaking Pyramids of Giza and a tempting price alternative to all the five stars hotels in the same area.
The real difficult accommodation choice appears when it comes about the five star hotels, as they all compete with the most extravagant facilities to attarct you. Originally a palace for kings and queens, The Oberoi Mena House has the closest location to the Great Pyramids. Just the other side of the street there is Meridien Pyramids Hotel tempting you with lovely views and deluxe services. Splurge in the heart of Cairo booking at The Four Seasons at Nile Plaza or at the luxury Grand Hyatt, offering a private bridge to the city center and a revolving restaurant.
The only accommodation type missing in Cairo is actually the boutique hotel.
