In Cairo, other than all the activities that you can do, you also could go shopping.
Cairo has many malls where you can shop.

City stars:
City Stars has around 550 stores including Spinney's, the biggest supermarket in Egypt now. It has a theme park called Galaxy, cinema theaters, a new modern version of Khan El-Khalili and an exibition area.

City Stars has a second phase now that was recently opened that added 250 new stores and a new Food Court.
Stars Center has a lot of shops. I'm going to give an overview about the shops around the mall. And there's a map so you can find your way and the names of shops and their locations.

Stars center has some major anchors and Spinney’s as mentioned before is one of them. there's the Egypt Air Duty Free shop. There's is the kid’s playground Magic Galaxy.
Stars center has the biggest cinema complex in Cairo with some of the latest movies nationally and
internationally.
There are lots of shops for kids such as Adams, Kanz, Mothercare, Condor, etc...
There are of course appliance and electronics shops. The biggest shop is Virgin Megastores located at Level 2. It's a worldwide known shop for electronics, books, DVDs and many other things.

There's Compu Me for computers and computer accessories. And also Radio Shack and Panasonic.
If you're shopping for footwear and leather goods you can find that Aldo is a good shop. There's CAT,

Milano and Clarks. And many others that you can explore at your visit to Stars City.
There are lots of shops for accessories and jewellery. Aldo has a section for accessories as well.
The main shops for accessories are Clairs and Glitter. They have many nice collections and new.
Damas has a good collection for gold accessories.
Mont Blanc and Perlo has a great collection for men's accessories.
For ladies wear, you can find that Fabulous, Promod, Ricci, Miss Sixty Fashion have classic collection of

women's wear and for a more sportive style there's Nike Women and Adidas.
On the other hand, for men's wear, there's Cellini, Cerruti and Reberto for classic and elegant wear. For

sportswear, there's Nike, Adidas and Quicksilver.
There are shops for Unisex wear like Momo, 2-play, Wave and Wild.
For perfumes and cosmetics, there are Faces, Mazaya and The Body Shop.
The new version of Khan El-Khalili is very nice and it almost feels like you are really there.

There are two food courts. The Pyramids Food court is located in the second phase and the Zodiac Food

Court is in the first phase. There are many restaurants, fast food shops and coffee shops.

Around the mall, you can find ATM machines for your convenience.
There's a pharmacy at the first level.
Other than City Center, there are also other malls in Cairo you might be interested in visiting.

Genena Mall which is famous for the Ice-skating court and it was the first mall in Cairo to adopt that idea.
It has many shops and cinema theaters as well.
City Center has one of the biggest cafe and bakery shops Trianon. It's located in the ground floor. And also Starbucks that was opened recently. It has different shops and styles from the other malls.
City Stars, City Center and Genena Mall are all located in Nasr City.
Arkadia mall is located by the Nile and has an awesome view of the Nile from upstairs. It has lots of shops, food court and a playground for kids on the last floor.
And finally there's Diamond Mall in 6th of October City. It's a big mall, has many shops and many cafes and has a cinema theater.

Shopping hours in Cairo:
Shops are usually open from nine o'clock in the morning up till seven o'clock in the evening. In Ramadan, working hours varies.

Currency Information:

The currency used it Egypt is the Egyptian Pounds.

Currency exchange is available at banks in Egypt. Banks usually have better rates than hotels or bureau of change.
Credit Cards and Debit Cards such as American Express, MasterCard and Diners Club are accepted but only in hotels and restaurants in Cairo in the tourist area ofcourse.
Banks are usually open from 8:30 in the morning up till two o'clock in the afternoon.
